Implementasi Alat Peraga Papan Perkalian Dalam Pembelajaran Matematika Untuk Siswa Kelas III di SD Negeri 13 Kota Bengkulu

Abstrak
Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 13 Kota Bengkulu. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk membantu siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami dan menyelesaikan soal perkalian. Dalam pembelajaran matematika suatu konsep akan dipahami dan diingat oleh siswa apabila direncanakan dengan baik, dirancang dengan baik dan disajikan dengan cara yang menarik. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran, yaitu alat peraga. Penulis percaya bahwa alat peraga dapat membuat pemahaman matematika menjadi mudah dan menyenangkan, sehingga pengalaman belajar tetap melekat. Guru dapat mendorong siswanya untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan alat peraga Papan Perkalian untuk melakukan perkalian semua bilangan. Alat peraga tersebut dapat digunakan dengan mudah hanya dengan mengubah atau menggeserkan posisi persegi panjang pada bagian samping dan bawah sesuai angka pada alat peraga. Di Papan Perkalian sudah terdapat alur untuk menentukan jawabannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelaksanaan, wawancara dan observasi. Dengan demikian diharapkan penggunaan alat peraga khususnya pada operasi Perkalian Bilangan Bulat dapat membantu siswa mengatasi kesulitan dalam belajar matematika. Dapat kita simpulkan bahwa Papan Perkalian dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa.

Abstract
Community service activities are carried out at SD Negeri 13 Bengkulu City. The aim of this service is to help students who have difficulty understanding and solving multiplication problems. In learning mathematics, a concept will be understood and remembered by students if it is planned well, designed well and presented in an interesting way. One way is to use learning media, namely teaching aids. Researchers believe that teaching aids can make understanding mathematics easy and fun, so that the learning experience sticks. Teachers can encourage their students to actively participate in mathematics learning by using the Multiplication Board props to multiply all numbers. These props can be used easily by simply changing or moving the position of the rectangles on the sides and bottom according to the numbers on the props. On the Multiplication Board there is a flow to determine the answer. The methods used are implementation, interviews and observation. Thus, it is hoped that the use of teaching aids, especially in the Multiplication of Whole Numbers operation, can help students overcome difficulties in learning mathematics. We can conclude that the Multiplication Board can be used as a way to increase students’ knowledge.
