Model Penguatan Peran Kampus dalam Membangun Ekosistem Bisnis berbasis kewirausahaan di Politeknik Balekambang: Analisis SWOT

Abstract

This study aims to formulate strategies for strengthening the role of Politeknik Balekambang Jepara in building a campus business ecosystem. The study is based on an existing qualitative case study of the Entrepreneurship Student Organization (UKM Kewirausahaan), which manages Warung Kuning as a student business and entrepreneurship learning unit. The original study found that the organization has an organizational structure, an operating business unit, human resources, and institutional support, but still faces limitations in standard operating procedures, financial administration, asset clarity, product diversification, promotion, and student participation. This article reinterprets those empirical findings using a qualitative SWOT analysis. Data were originally obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation involving the UKM advisor, administrators, students, campus management, and alumni. Internal and external factors were identified from the documented findings and then organized into strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results indicate that the campus has a strong institutional foundation, an existing student business unit, mentoring support, and potential human resources. At the same time, weaknesses in governance, administration, business diversification, promotion, and student participation limit ecosystem development. Opportunities arise from student entrepreneurship learning, alumni and MSME partnerships, digital channels, and the proposed student cooperative, while threats include competition outside campus, changing student preferences, academic workload, and leadership turnover. The resulting SWOT strategies emphasize institutional strengthening, integration of business learning, diversification of student business, digitalization, and stakeholder partnerships
