Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Siswa Melalui Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Berbantu Media Audio Visual Pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kelas II SD
Abstract
Indonesian language learning in elementary schools includes listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. However, students’ learning outcomes remain low because learning is often teacher-centered, audiovisual media is not used optimally, and some students show limited participation and are easily distracted. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media, changes in student activity, improvement in learning outcomes, and changes in classical mastery from the pre-cycle to the second cycle. This research employed Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and McTaggart design, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 28 students, comprising 15 boys and 13 girls. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and tests, and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The average score increased from 55.7 in the pre-cycle to 63.9 in the first cycle and 82.3 in the second cycle. Classical mastery increased from 7.1% to 21.4% and finally to 92.9%. In the second cycle, 26 students achieved the minimum mastery criterion of 75. Therefore, the implementation of Discovery Learning assisted by audiovisual media successfully improved students’ activity and Indonesian language learning outcomes.
