Pemasangan Penerangan Jalan Umum Tenaga Surya Untuk Meningkatkan Penerangan Jalan di Kampung Banjar Seminai

Limited lighting on several roads in Banjar Seminai Village, Dayun District, Siak Regency, was identified by students of the 2026 Community Service Program (KKN) of Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The condition was particularly noticeable at locations with inadequate lighting at night. This community service activity aimed to improve environmental lighting through the installation of Solar-Powered Public Street Lighting (PJUTS) while introducing solar energy as a source for public lighting facilities. The activity was conducted on 18–21 August 2026 in Banjar Seminai Village and involved KKN students and the Head of Banjar Tengah Hamlet. The implementation approach followed observation, mapping, discussion, implementation, and communication stages. PJUTS was successfully installed at two points, namely Rawah Lembat and the area in front of Kartika Kindergarten. Although there were initial obstacles, they were resolved and the lighting units were installed and could be used.
